The Anti Graffiti Symposium (TAGS) is
an annual conference open to individuals working for municipalities,
law-enforcement agencies, departments of justice, schools, community groups, businesses
and other agencies affected by and working to prevent, reduce graffiti
vandalism and increase criminal and civil enforcement efforts.
The City of Edmonton’s Capital City Clean Up graffiti program will be hosting the 2011 TAGS Conference with help from the Complaints and Investigations Section of the Community Standards Branch and the Edmonton Police Service. This year the conference with be divided into three specific themes to address the changing needs of the participants. Details on conference keynote speakers and breakout sessions will be available soon. 2011 TAGS A Huge Success!!
Thank you to all those who attended and supported the 2011 TAGS conference in Edmonton. Nearly 200 delegates, speakers and volunteers attended the two day conference, with an additional 55 participants attending the Post Conference Reading Taggers Workshop on October 20. POST CONFERENCE WORKSHOP October 20, 2011 As part of this year’s conference, Edmonton will be hosting a separate half-day hands-on session, where graffiti experts will lead participants around Edmonton to learn how to read graffiti vandalism symbols and tags, identify crew symbols and look at graffiti vandalism patterns.
